The Saab EMS sports sedan was built to be tested, every day if necessary. With a unique combination of features that work together to produce Saab’s balanced performance.
Features that make it especially controllable at high speeds. Even under adverse conditions.
Send the EMS into a curve, shift down on the 4 speed gear box, and its front wheel drive will pull you through, with the surefootedness of a mountain goat.
(Superior traction is, in fact, a fetish at Saab. So, of course, the EMS comes with large Pirelli CN 36 175/70 HR steel belted radial tires.)
Take the EMS out of that curve and into a tight turn, and it will respond instantaneously, with the superb road “feed back" that rack and pinion steering gives you.
Command the EMS to stop, and it will
again and again, unhesitantly, without fade, because it has power-assisted disc brakes on all 4 wheels.
Demand that the EMS perform on twisting or bumpy roads, and it will obey, because it has Bilstein gas-filled shock absorbers.
Insist on horsepower, and you’ll get 115, more than any car in its class, from a fuel-injected 2 litre, overhead cam engine.
Approach the EMS with the skepticism of a Formula 1 aficionado, and you’ll be won over by the fast steering ratio. Aluminum alloy wheels. A tachometer. And a front air dam.
