Listed here is an Aikin Lambert retractable dip pen holder fitted with a good sized #3 L. Jackson 14K gold nib. This is the type of a pen seen in period pieces focused on the turn of the century. Modern day calligraphers use dip pens as it is the preferred ink delivery method for producing controlled line variation. Good Luck!
AIKIN LAMBERT DIP PEN HOLDER
The Aikin Lambert branded dip pen holder is in fantastic condition. The gold-fill is well preserved. No brassing that I can detect. The Aikin Lambert imprint is super crisp and clean. The retracting mechanism works smoothly.
L. JACKSON #3 14K GOLD NIB
This L. Jackson #3 nib is in great condition.  The nib's imprints are entirely present and well preserved save for the 'L' in L. Jackson. The nib has a lot of good flex. It writes like a fine/medium without pressure. The nib is nice and smooth with optimal flow for vellum paper. I used it on 52 gsm Tomoe River paper with McCaffery's iron gall ink which is a favorite amongst calligraphers. I would recommend this ink over most India inks. It is easy to handle.
RESTORATION SERVICES
This antique L. Jackson #3 nib and the Aikin Lambert dip pen holder has been cleaned and tested for function (deployment, dipping, and writing). It is READY TO WRITE upon using an iron gall or another appropriately viscous ink.
Renaissance Wax
(yes, only the best) has been sparingly applied to the surface to protect and preserve the gold-filled surfaces. Renaissance Wax is used by professional vintage pen restorers and other esteemed institutions such as the British Museum. It is great for protecting metals from oxidation and for protecting surfaces that often come into contact with hands.
