This Hand painted Gallery Cel entitled "Hat's Off" features a wonderful image of Mickey in his Sorcerer's Apprentice garb with his hat in the background, was painted by studio artist, Daniel Rippberger. The gallery cel was released on October 1, 2001 and retired on May 1, 2004. This hand painted animation "Gallery Cel" was only available through the Disney-MGM Studio at Disney World in Orlando during the early 2000's and it has been retired for almost two decades. The fact that these cels were only created by the Disney artists in the Orlando gallery has enhanced their rarity and obviously the longer the piece has been retired the rarer and more valuable it becomes. This is not only a great piece of Disney history, but it is a great piece of the history of the Disney-MGM Studios in Orlando. This Gallery Cel was framed at the Disney-MGM Studios in an "Artcare Archival System" which provides Museum Quality Protection. (see picture of back of frame)
This framed Gallery Cell also contains a rare "The Magic of Disney Animation Pin" which was produced for the animation studio for the celebration of 100 years of magic. This pin was only available with the purchase of the Cel.
AMAZING Bonus: This listing also includes an Animation Studio Card signed by SEVEN Disney Ink and Paint Artists including Daniel E. Rippberger, Sharon Vincent, Theodora DeLaney, Erin Magill and three others! Disney Ink and Paint Artist. Mr. Rippberger hand painted this Gallery Cel.
The frame measures approximately 17" Tall by 21" wide and is about 1" thick.
The Pin size is approx. 1 1/2" H x 2" W.
