    Description

Up for auction is a sterling silver Eagle Scout badge by the Robbins Company. This is a ROB 5, S7-P9 medal probably presented in 1970 - 1978.
Identifying features include the Eagle now has BSA across the breast and the backside has been restored to full feathers. After 27 years, the Boy Scouts and Robbins chose to return the BSA to the Eagle breast. The Robbins sterling mark is a box with a lower case “
    r
    ” and a split “
    STER
    /
    LING
” that appears at the bottom center of Scroll. The “r” box is the larger one at 5mm on the scroll. The Eagle pendant is marked Sterling vertically as STER followed by the lower case Robbins “
    r
”. According to Groves grading this is a S7-P9, dating the medal to the 1970’s. The ribbon bar is a round pin simply attached to the scroll.
The ribbon condition is what to expect when worn proudly on the Scout’s uniform and in good condition with no damage to the material. The color remains good but, the ribbon shows the marks of an Eagle Palm or more.
This item overall is in very good condition. Please look at the pictures and email me with any questions.
