    It is gold plated so it will eventually tarnish. There is no guarantee on jewelry changing colors!
    How fast it tarnishes depends on many factors and how well you take care of it.
    If you sweat a lot in it and take showers in it, it will tarnish a lot faster. If you wipe it down after each use with a cloth and keep it in a ziplock bag when not wearing it, it will last longer.
    Zip-lock bag is included along with a "How to Care for Your Plated Jewelry" tips sheet.
    Some of our clients have had success by applying a thin coat of clear nail polish or Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating on it to make it last longer.
    Please see YouTube videos for more instructional videos on how to prevent costume jewelry from changing colors before trying it out and always test a conspicuous area like the back clasp before doing the entire necklace.
