    Description

For your consideration is an enameled metal soccer lapel pin of the SWISS FOOTBALL CLUB OF NEW YORK. The design shows a representation of the Swiss flag on the left-hand side and the U.S. flag on the right.  The Swiss Football Club joined the German-American Soccer League (
    Deutsch-Amerikanischen Fussball Bund)
in 1924, a year after the league's formation, and remained in the league until the 1950s.
The pin was manufactured by the noted Swiss medal maker, PAUL KRAMER of Neuchatel.  It measures about 1/2-inch in width and 5/8th-inch in height.
Provenance: My father played for the Swiss Football Club of New York in the 1940s and early 1950s.  This was his pin.
